🌟 Overview

unDoc Mobile is a purpose-built app for capturing invoices fast and tracking status instantly. It gives clients a camera-first path into unDoc and the ERP. Point, shoot, submit, and check status. AI does the heavy lifting. Human-in-the-Middle (HITM) handles exceptions. I designed it to remove friction on mobile and keep bookkeeping moving.

🔍 Problem

Clients often buy on the go. Staff had receipts and invoices but no frictionless mobile path into unDoc. They waited to reach a desk or sent photos via WhatsApp or email. Finance then chased missing data. Approvals lagged. Month-end stretched.

  • No quick mobile intake tied to unDoc and ERP

  • Non-technical users struggled with desktop patterns on a phone

  • Missing decisive metadata like payment method blocked processing

  • Fragmented channels hurt auditability and slowed bookkeeping

Real roles, real jobs, crisp success definitions. I mapped concrete jobs to remove guesswork and scope creep.

🧠 Decision Logic

Design tied directly to user reality.

  • Dedicated mobile app instead of “responsive web only” to optimize camera, offline, and speed

  • One primary flow on mobile: Upload and then check status

  • Minimal inputs on phone. Let undoc AI + HITM enrich the rest

  • Two statuses only: In progress and Completed to prevent status fatigue

  • My goal: remove the first-use wall for non-technical users

  • Source picker: Camera, Gallery, File

  • Summary: thumbnails, file size, per-file Payment method dropdown, remove or edit

  • Upload action: enabled once minimum fields set

  • Uploaded receipt: shows what was submitted and a Done button

  • My goal: confidence, not confusion


  1. Track

  • Documents list with filters and two clear status chips: In progress, Completed

  • Document preview with basic fields and PDF view

  • My goal: know if it is done without opening a laptop

  • Less to interpret on a phone

  • One screen, one decision

  • Large tap targets and generous spacing

  • Thumbnails, progress, and a final Uploaded receipt

  • Plain language. No accounting jargo

  • Users needed speed → I removed forms and focused on camera-first intake

  • Users needed certainty → I added thumbnails, progress, and a simple status model

  • Finance needed structure → I captured decisive metadata and let AI + HITM finish
